McCamey recently added a brand new Post Office, which is located at the corner of Hwy. 67 and 385.
 

The McCamey I.S.D. is currently renovating the High School Gymnasium.  Here is a sneak peek at what's happening there:

 For the All-School Reunion 2000,  Mayor Sherry Phillips enlisted the help of local artist Glynda Taylor to create a more attractive downtown area.  They decided upon murals to depict some of McCamey's rich history.  The photo below was taken from the photo section of the McCamey Reunion Site.  (Thanks, Doc.)   So far Glynda has painted three murals:  one on the side of the Post Office, one on the corner of  Burleson and 5th Street, and the other on south 5th Street.  There is also a "Wall of Honor" that all the Exes had the honor of signing.  That is also located on the north side of 5th Street.

Here is the newly-painted News Office Building, located on Burleson.  You may also click on it for a larger version.  Quite an improvement, don't you agree?
